This is a simple blogspace which is dedicated to telling as many people as possible about the opportunity to learn Japanese via Anime and Manga in London.

Akemi-San has a great deal of experience not only teaching Japanese, she is passionate about Japanese culture and so her website demonstrates the holistic approach to learning about Japan!
The background to how I got involved? My daughter Chloe wanted to learn Japanese, and I spent some time over summer trying to find teachers willing to teach. When I met Akemi-San, she was delightfully passionate about Japan, Japanese culture, and most amazingly, she was also a fan of Manga and Anime. Since Chloe's desire to learn Japanese actually sprang from Manga and Anime, Akemi-San suggested that we could learn Japanese through...Manga and Anime!
(This is just me putting up my favourite 'Bleach' but actually we are going to use proper, well written anime from Studio Ghibli to learn good Japanese!) Below is a picture from Tonari no Totoro, an example of what we will use:
These classes are open to people who want to learn, and it would probably be most useful to teenagers and the young-at-heart!
